ABOUT THIS TOOL

What does JSON validation check?

The validator checks JSON syntax by parsing the document and reports invalid input instead of silently accepting malformed data. For valid input it also identifies whether the root value is an object, array or another JSON type.

COMMON USES

Useful for everyday developer work

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does validation send my JSON anywhere?

No. Normal validation is performed locally in the browser.

Is a valid JSON document automatically valid for my API?

No. Syntax validity only means the JSON can be parsed. Your API may still require a specific schema, fields or business rules.

Do I need an account?

No. Public deterministic tools work without signing in.
