Frequently asked questions

Does DevPayload upload my JSON?

No. Formatting runs in the browser during normal tool use. Data is sent to DevPayload only when you explicitly use a cloud feature such as saving or sharing a workspace.

Does formatting change JSON values?

Beautifying or compacting changes whitespace, not the JSON values. Key sorting changes presentation order only when you enable it.

Do I need an account?

No. Public deterministic tools work without signing in.
